Retired Attitude Grrl Board - Our First Board

 

2002

Curly Grrlz hits the skateboard scene and teams-up with Tracker Trucks, the most respected name in skateboard trucks, to provide awesome complete skateboards. The website is up and running.  Curly Grrlz debuts in PUSH skateboard mag and signs on as a sponsor of the 2003 All Girls Skate Jam in Oceanside, California.

 

2003

Curly Grrlz supports events in the United Kingdom and debuts in both Check-it-Out girls skateboard mag and Concrete Wave.  Sasha LaRochelle, becomes Curly Grrlz first rider. Harvest Skateboard webzine raves about our decks.

Curly Grrlz debuts in the Disney Short "Follow Your Dreams" supporting girls skateboarding.  Scheduled to air for one month on the Disney Channel it runs into 2004.  Star of the short, Marie Weber, is seen riding her Curly Grrlz deck!

Curly Grrlz debuts in SG magazine, at the Rid2z comp in France and a brand spankin’ new website.

 

2004

Curly Grrlz lands in Japan debuts at the Funwaves booth at the Interscope International Trade Show. Sony Pictures enlisted our help to find skaters for a new movie and Curly Grrlz supports another girl’s event in the UK.

Curly Grrlz hits TIME magazine and USA Today.

Chelsea Olsen from Illinois is our newest team rider.

 

2005

The Curly Grrlz banner makes a whirlwind tour of the world as it pops-up with stickers and stuff at: Central Coast Monster Skate Series, California, Riverside Skate Jam, Manhattan, NYC

Girls Rule! summer camp week at Woodward West in California.

Curly Grrlz debuts in Second Wind, an independent girls zine and at the Surf Expo in Orlando Florida…Curly Grrlz skateboards start cropping up at skate shops.

Curly Grrlz supports the India movie production of Chronicles of a Skatergirl in NYC.

 

2005

The Curly Grrlz banner and stuff continues to make a whirlwind tour of the world in support of girls skateboarding at:

Borah High School Mathematics Initiative, Boise, Idaho

Mighty Mama Skate-O-Rama benefiting the Orangewood Children's Home for neglected and abused children

Curly Grrlz Skateboards debuts in FTK Skate magazine and Stacie Roberts from Florida is our newest rider.
Curly Grrlz hits the Surf Expo in Florida and is picked-up by Eastern Skateboard Supply, the largest distributor in the United States.
Curly Grrlz teams-up with some of the coolest music acts on the planet and debuts “Curly Grrlz Hip Clipz”.  Artists such as Phantom Planet, Fall Out Boy, Cyndi Lauper, and Plain White Ts lend their music to our site and sign stuff for us to give away. 
The Street Team is born!

 

2006

Curly Grrlz debuts new designs, including our first longboard, supports comps and girls’ events everywhere, continues with ads in FTK, hits the Surf Expo as the only girls’ skate company in attendance, hits skate shops all over the place and debuts in the United Kingdom!!!!

Tracker Trucks makes a custom skateboard truck in Pink just for Curly Grrlz.

The Curly Grrlz website undergoes a major transformation adding new Hip Clipz artists, a Forum, a Blog and a new myspace site.  The Street Team grows in numbers and big companies and musical acts send us swag to send to our girls.
